Shenzhen Airlines was incorporated in November 1992 and kicked off its flight operations from 17th September 1993. It has 6 operating bases but its main center of operation is Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport.

Shenzhen Airlines is regarded as the fourth largest provider of domestic air services in China. In 2010 it transported an estimated 16.5 million passengers, which was almost 9% more than 2009. It became a member of the Star Alliance on 6th July 2011. It is the second airline to have joined the earliest and biggest airline coalition of the world.

Shenzhen Airlines was established during November 1992 and started flying from 17th September a year later. Its operating bases are Guangzhou Balyun International Airport, Shenyang Taoxian International Airport, Nanjing Lukou International Airport, Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport, Nanning Wuxu International Airport and Wuxi Shuofang Airport.

The frequent flyer program of Shenzhen is referred to as King Club. Its owners are Air China and Shenzhen International Holdings, which holds almost 15% of the shares. Li Kun serves as the President.

Shenzhen Airlines has entered into codesharing deals with All Nippon Airways, EVA Airways and Asiana Airlines.

Shenzhen has a combined fleet of 109 aircraft. There are 43 Airbus A320-200s and 38 Boeing 737-800s. It also operates 9 Boeing 737-300s and Boeing 737-700s each. Apart from these, there are 5 Airbus A319s and Boeing 737-900s each.
