Belavia, the national airline of Belarus, was officially founded on 5th March, 1996. The airline’s inception was the result of a resolution of the Belarusian Government to restructure the air transport of Belarus. It already had a 60-years-long record of passenger and cargo transportation, the first flight taking place in the year 1933.
