Southwest Airlines tickets are easy to acquire and can be bought at the airlines' ticket counters as well as can be booked online. Southwest Airlines is one of the largest low-cost airlines in the USA and it is based at Dallas in Texas. Founded in 1971, Southwest Airlines has many achievements to its credit. Since 2006, Southwest Airlines has held the record of carrying the highest number of passengers in the USA as stated by the US Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics. It also boasts of being one of the highest revenue earning airlines in the world.
For the convenience of its passengers, Southwest Airlines has come up with a number of facilities related to the booking of tickets. The airline has opened up kiosk gates at various airports in the country. Ticket less travelers or those carrying an E-ticket can now get their boarding pass at an E-ticket check-in kiosk. Southwest Airlines ticket counters maintain these kiosks at airport lobbies. However, such facility is available only to those with eligible reservations.
Some other terms and conditions for kiosk check-in are listed below:
- Senior travelers, flying on Senior Fares, must produce their age proof to obtain boarding pass at an E-ticket Check-in kiosk.
- E-ticket check-in kiosks are not available to children under 12 years of age who are traveling alone. Passengers traveling on standby, military fares or child or youth compensation, also fall in this category.
- Boarding passes at the check-in kiosk are available only 20 minutes prior to departure at the Departure Gate.
To save more on tickets, Southwest Airlines has declared that tickets up to 30th October, 2008, can be booked 6 months in advance. Apex fares are really low at Southwest Airlines.
Southwest Airlines ticket booking has been made easy to make air travel hassle-free for its passengers. Book your ticket through the 'Quick Flight Booking' box given on this page.
