Atlas Blue


With its headquarters in Marrakech the Moroccan carrier Atlas Blue operated independently from 2004 to 2009 before merging with its parent company Royal Air Maroc. It provided flights to several destinations in Europe.

Atlas Blue History

Atlas Blue was set up on May 28th 2004 but started its earliest flights on July 26th that year. At its initial stages it flew chartered planes between France and Morocco and had one Boeing 737-400.

It procured 5 more such planes from Royal Air Maroc, which was its parent company. This was done in order to expand its network to Belgium, Italy, Germany and UK. The company’s independent existence came to an end in 2009 when it became a part of the parent company.

Atlas Blue Details

Atlas Blue had two major hubs - Tangier Boukhalef Airport and Marrakech-Menara Airport. Its secondary hubs were Nador International Airport and Agadir-Al Massira Airport. It commanded 14 aircraft including 6 Boeing 737-400s.

It offered flights to Morocco but most of its flight destinations were in Europe - Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, France, Switzerland, Italy, United Kingdom and Poland. The headquarters of this Moroccan carrier were at Marrakech.
