Adam Air


Closed down because of several accidents in 2008, Adam Air was opened in 2002. The aviation enterprise was set up in 2002 by Sandra Ang and Agung Laksono and was named after Ang's son and President cum CEO Adam Adhitya Suherman.

Adam Air History

Adam Air was incorporated in 2002 and its founder was famed Indonesian businessman and House of Representatives speaker Agung Laksono and Sandra Ang. At its inception it had a couple of Boeing 737 that had been taken on rent from GE Commercial Aviation Services.

The company was named after its CEO and President Adam Adhitya Suherman who was Sandra Ang's son. Its functioning ended on 18th March 2008 and its license was cancelled on 18th June 2008. Its numerous accidents were one of the major incidents in this case.

Adam Air Details

Soekarno-Hatta International Airport was the hub of Adam Air. Its focus cities were Juanda International Airport and Polonia International Airport. It had a fleet size of 22 and it was based at West Jakarta in the Indonesian capital.

Within Indonesia Adam Air flights were available to Java, Sulawesi, Kalimantan, Sumatra and Lesser Sunda Islands. Outside Indonesia, the budget carrier offered flights to Singapore and Malaysia.
