Korean Airlines replaced the former Korean carrier Korean National Airlines in 1962 and was privatized by the Hanjin Transport Group on March 1, 1969. It is one of the largest Airlines of Asia, based in southern part of the country.
Korean Airlines (KSE: 003490) or KAL has its hub at Incheon International Airport (international) and at Gimpo International Airport or Kimpo International Airport (domestic). Divisions of KAL:
Korean Air destinations include all continents of Africa, Asia, Europe, North America and Oceania (Australia and New Zealand). Domestic air flies to 14 cities, International Air to 35 countries and 96 cities, Passengers to 31 countries and 98 cities and Cargo to 27 countries and 47 cities.
Among new services are the regular cargo services between Incheon and Qingdao, four times a week using an Airbus A300-600 freighter.
Their leading customized SKYPASS program is a frequent flyer plan. Referred by a blue card with a motto “Beyond your Imagination", Skypass is allotted only to those patronized customers who fly a certain number of miles per two-year cycle. However the membership is for lifetime.
