Located at Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea,
Air Niugini is the national airline of the country. Founded in the year 1973, Air Niugini started offering international services in a short span of time. Initially it was a domestic carrier that expanded its service after purchasing its first Boeing B720 in the year 1976. In the year 2002, a new Airbus aircraft was acquired to enhance the international service.
