The Air Comores International started operations in November 2004 but collapsed soon in 2006. It conducted flights to Middle East and France, southern and eastern Africa covering the region near the Indian Ocean as well.

Air Comores International History

The airline was created in November 2002 and started services to mainland France on 7 June 2003.

A recapitalisation of the airline was announced in January 2004, but in December the airline was liquidated and shut down. An effort to relaunch the company under the new name Air Comores International failed, and it finally closed its operations in 2006. The main hub was Prince Said Ibrahim International Airport. But it also had hubs at Comoros, Moroni, Comores.

Air Comores International Services

Air Comores International was a short-lived airline with headquarters at Roland Garros Airport in Sainte Marie, Reunion. It operated services between Reunion and Lyon, Milan, Paris and the neighboring island of Mayotte. Air Comores International consisted of a fleet of 2 aircraft:
  • 1 Boeing 767-300 ER
  • 1 Boeing 737-400
The Air Comores fleet also consisted of a single Airbus 340-200 (F-OITN) aircraft, which was equipped with 286 passenger seats, 36 of which could be accommodated in business class.
