Grand Prix du Canada 2008 is the 7th race of Formula One championship and will take place in Montreal at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. The Canadian GP champion will be decided on 8th June 2008, the last day of the event.

Grand Prix du Canada 2008 will take place at Montreal between 6th to 8th June 2008. The Grand Prix of Canada is scheduled to be the seventh race of Formula One 2008.

Grand Prix du Canada 2008 is scheduled to take place at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Canada. This circuit of Canada commemorates the Canadian car racer Gilles Villenueuve. Many other events such NASCAR Nationwide Series and NASCAR Canadian Tire Series also take place at this site, besides the Grand Prix. Circuit Gilles Villeneuve has 4.361 kilometers of circuit length, 305.270 kilometers of race distance and 70 laps. R Barrichello holds the lap record of 1:13.622 at this circuit.

Michael Schumacher has won most of the Grand Prix of Canada. He is followed by Nelson Piquet, who has won the Canadian GP for 3 times and Jackie Stewart, Alan Jones, Jacky Ickx and Ayrton Senna, who have been victorious 2 times each.

Tariff for the grand stands:

Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is one of the popular venues of car racing. Enthusiasts can enjoy the final race on 8th June 2008 from the grand stands. The tariff for grand stands 1 and 2 is $495 and for 11, 12, 15, 21 and 24 are $395. Tourists are required to pay $225 for stands 22, 31, 33 and 34. The tariff for each of the stands is charged per head for 3 days. The tariff for grand stand 21a is $395 per wheelchair. Another $197.50 is to be paid for any person accompanying the person on the wheelchair.

2008 Grand Prix du Canada Results:

The Canadian Grand Prix was held on 8th June, 2008. Robert Kubica recorded his maiden win of the season when he won this race. He became the first Polish citizen to win a F1 Grand Prix. Kubica's BMW Sauber team mate Nick Heidfield finished second. The performances of these two drivers now leave BMW Sauber at 70 points on the team list, only three points behind list topper Ferrari. British David Coultherd of Red Bull secured the third position.

Both Lewis Hamilton of McLaren and Kimi Raikkonen of Ferrari faced early exits following a bizarre crash early in the race.
