Nasaud is a town in the eastern European country of Romania. It is located in Bistrita Nasaud County of Romania. Nasaud falls under the administrative jurisdiction of the Transylvania region.

The history of Nasaud dates back to the era when the Habsburgs ruled the region. At that time it was a border town. Nasaud in Romania had an excellent infrastructure in that era. There were good schools and hospitals. The area of Nasaud in Romania enjoyed industrial expansion during Communist rule. The Communist rule over the region and of all over Romania ended in the late 20th century. The general industrial climate of the Nasaud region also suffered a decline after the end of communist rule. Nasaud at Romania suffered large-scale migration of persons of working age. This is due to the paucity of work available in Nasaud. Many residents are now expatriate workers in more developed countries in Europe. The local economy is dependent on remittances from these expatriate workers.

The principal attractions of Nasaud are the heritage structures present in the city. Notable structures include the Greek Catholic Church and the museum. The museum is built on an existing military encampment of the Habsburgs. The Town Hall is also located in the same structure.
