The vast majority of the people of Romania are Romanians constituting 89.5% of the population. The remaining percentage includes the Romas (2.5%), the Hungarians (6.6%), the Ukrainians (0.3%), the Russians (0.2%), the Germans (0.3%), the Turkish (0.2%) and the others (0.4%).

The culture of Romania is very rich and vibrant. The traditional folk arts include ceramics, wood carving, embroidery of costumes, weaving, and also dance and folk music.

Romania’s Demographics have a literacy rate of 98.4% of the total population. 99.1% of the male and 97.7% of the female population can read and write. People the age of 15 and over are literate.
