Air Morocco or Royal Air Morocco is the national airline of Morocco. The official name of the airline is Royal Air Maroc. The airline connects a number of destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and South America with Morocco.
Air Morocco has its hub in Casablanca. Casablanca is the economic capital of Morocco. The central airport of Royal Air Morocco is the Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca. The company operates a number of domestic flights in addition to international destinations. Select planes are also available for charter flights. Royal Air Maroc is the fourth largest commercial airline company operating in Africa. It is a nationalized airline with the Government of Morocco holding more than 95% of total stock ownership. The remaining portion is held by Air France and by Persons Acting in Concert.
Royal Air Maroc employs wide-bodied Boeing 787's to transport passengers between Casablanca and its international destinations. The aim of the company is to position itself as a preferred choice of airline for tourists and business visitors flying between Europe and Africa. The secondary aim is to make Casablanca the principal transit hub between the two continents. Royal Air Morocco has a low cost subsidiary- Atlas Blue to target the budget airline passenger.
