Estonia Air is the national airline of Estonia. Estonian Air came into being on 1st December, 1991. It operates both charter and scheduled services in Europe. The government of Estonia took the decision of privatizing Estonia Air in 1996. The Estonian Air fleet has got a total number of 6 aircrafts with two Boeing 737-300 aircraft and four Boeing 737-500 aircraft.
The ownership of Estonia Air is in the hands of the SAS Group, the government of Estonia and Cresco. The Estonia Airline operates a number of flights to Belgium, Austria, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Russia, Ireland and so on.
Brief History on Estonia Air
1992- Came to be the member of International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the IATA Clearing House.
1993- Came to be the member of IATA-MITA.
1994- Signed an agreement of cooperation with Amadeus-Finland and Amadeus Holding.
1997- Launching of flyer program Blue Star by Air Estonia took place. It also signed an agreement with AVIS car rental company.
1999- It introduced the system of booking online tickets.
2001- Introduction of loyal customer card named ‘Privilege’ took place for frequent travelers.
