Egyptian Pyramids



Egyptian Pyramids are indeed one of the biggest wonders on earth. The pyramids are considered to be the most fascinating manmade attractions of Egypt, most of which were constructed in the Old and Middle Kingdom era. Egypt is mainly visited by the international tourists for its wonderful construction of pyramids.

Giza:

In Giza, the Pyramid of Khufu is found along with a number of small satellite edifices. Since ancient period, the Giza Necropolis has drawn the attention of many tourists across the globe.

Abu Sir:

There are around 57 ancient Egyptian pyramids at this site and it is said that in the 5th dynasty, it was considered to be the major royal necropolis. It houses 3 major pyramids of Neferirkare Kakai, Niuserre and Sahure. Beside this, tourists can also get a glance of the Pyramid of Neferefre.

Mazghuna:

Situated to the southern part of Dahshur, Mazghuna is famous for its mud- brick pyramids.

Saqqara:

At Saqqara, some renowned pyramids including the Pyramid of Userkaf, the Step Pyramid of Djozer and the Pyramid of Teti can be visited. Apart from this, the Pyramid of Unas is also well-preserved over here.

Dahshur:

There is no doubt in the fact that the Dahshur area consists of important pyramids.
