Central Asia is the largest region of Asia. Major countries include Kazakhstan,Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia and China.
Stretching from the Caspian Sea in the west to China in the east and from Afghanistan in the south to Russia in the north, Central Asia is the largest region of Asia. It is the core region of the Asian continent and is also known as Middle Asia.
Central Asia covers a total area of 1,545,721 square miles. The estimated population of the region is 61,551,945. The countries that make up this part of the continent include:

- Turkmenistan
- Uzbekistan

There are some other countries also that are considered to be part of Central Asia. They are: Afghanistan, Northern Iran, Kashmir, northern Pakistan, Mongolia, Xinjiang and Tibet, and southern Siberia.
Uzbekistan is the most-populous country in Central Asia; it has an estimated population of 27.6 million.
