Kom Ombo is situated approximately 41 miles south of the Egyptian city of Idfu and is thought to be the old name of Ombos. In the ancient period, this city was quite significant to the caravan routes from different gold mines and Nubia.
Thoughss there are several tourist attractions in this Egyptian city, the temple of Kom Ombo is considered to be the most attractive one. The temple is located on a hill to the west of the village. Tourists can enjoy a wide range of panoramic view of the countryside from this lovely temple.

On the other hand, Roman Chapel of Hathor is located on the southern part of this temple. The Chapel is devoted to the wife of Horus. It was basically meant for storing the mummified crocodiles.

There is also a rare inscribed image of Cleopatra VII at the main temple of Kom Ombo. Along with it, some engravings of medical instruments are also there that are meant for the purpose of surgery. Some of these include dilator, scissors, scalpels, curettes, forceps and medicine bottles.

So, in order to get a glance of the temple of Kom Ombo and its wonderful engravings tourists should not waste time in planning a holiday trip to Kom Ombo.
