The National flag of Paraguay was formally approved and acquired on 25 th of November; 1842.Three equal horizontal bands of color comprise the Paraguay Flag. Among the stripes, the upper one is red, the middle band is white, and the underside band is blue. The color scheme of the Paraguay Ensign is influenced by French "tri color" concept, where red signifies bravery and nationalism, white symbolizes integrity and peace, blue represents liberation and generosity. This is noteworthy that Paraguay Ensign is the only national Flag with two dissimilar emblems on the reverse and obverse. The central parts of the obverse and reverse sides of the flag are depicted with Paraguay "state coat of arms" and Paraguay "Treasury Seal" respectively.
