Uzbekistan Land and People



Uzbekistan land and people refer to the topography and the population of the country. Uzbekistan and encompasses two unequal sections of land,one, which is a part of the Kyzyl Kum desert and the other the fertile part in the southeastern part which meets the Tein Shah mountain range. The Aral Sea is located in the north eastern part of the country. Uzbekistan is drained by two main rivers of Central Asia, the Amu Darya and the Syr Darya.

Uzbekistan ,Asia lies in the northern part of Afghanistan. This Asian country spreads in the Southern and Central part of Asia and its capital is Tashkent. Uzbekistan covers an area of 447400.00 square kilometers.

Uzbekistan,Russia is no more a part of Russia. In the year 1991, Uzbekistan became a sovereign country after being ruled by Russia for more than a century. It was a part of the Russian empire and later became a component of the Soviet Union.

The various ethnic groups are the Uzbek, Russians, Kazakhs, Karakalpak, Tatar and Tajiks are spread throughout the country. Islam is the main religion of the country and very little percentage of eastern orthodox community is also present. The people of Uzbekistan mostly speak, Uzbek, Russian, Tazik and other languages.
