Luxembourg Police is also popular as the Grand Ducal Police and is the primary law enforcement agency in the only Grand Duchy of the World. The Luxembourg Police works under the Luxembourgian Minister for Justice. The Luxembourg Police, along with the Minister for Justice, however is basically controlled by the Grand Duke. The police of Luxembourg came into existence on 1st of January, 2000 after the Luxembourg Gerdarmerie got merged with the Luxembourgian Police.

The regional head-quarters of the police in Luxembourg are based at Diekirch, Capellen, Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg City, Grevenmacher, and Mersch.
