Bulgarian Food



Bulgarian food is very scrumptious and you would relish tasting the Bulgarian cuisine. Bulgarian food includes delectable dishes like Kebapcheta, Boza, Kavarma Kebap, Lentil Soup, etc.

The food of Bulgaria includes a variety of food and drink. Bulgaria food and drink are as follows:

  • Kebapcheta
  • Kavarma Kebap
  • Kapama
Kebapcheta is a non-vegetarian dish of Bulgaria, which is made from softened meat, onion, cumin, pepper and salt. Kavarma Kebap is the most popular meal of Bulgaria, which is made from pork. Boza is made with the help of wheat or millet. Boza includes both sweet and sour taste. The ingredients that are required for making this dish are 5 litre water, 2 tea cups filled with sugar, fermentation made in home and 2 tea cups filled with flour. The preparation of Boza is given below:

  • Cook the flour till it gets pink
  • While cooking stir the floor continuously
  • Add a small amount of hot water
  • After that add the mixture to the remaining part of the water
  • Cook the entire mixture and stir it while cooking
  • Add 2 tea cups sugar to the mixture and stir it till it gets boiled
  • After boiling stir the mixture for more 5 to 6 minutes
  • Let it cool
  • Mix 1 tea cup of fermentation which was made at home
  • For the process of fermentation the Boza should be kept in a warm place for 2-3 days
  • After 2-3 days the Boza should be poured in bottles and stored in the refrigerator
