The Nigeria Flag was adopted after the independence of Nigeria from the colonial rule of Great Britain. The three tri-colored bands of the Nigerian Flag are arranged vertically to each other with the white band lying in the middle of the two green bands.
The green color in the flag of Nigeria stands for the lush green forests and agricultural wealth of the country. The white band represents peace and unity prevailing in Nigeria.
