New Jersey is home to many historical sites, museums, national parks, heritage centers, and historical buildings. Nassau Hall was the largest building in colonial New Jersey and is the oldest building in Princeton University.




Allaire State Park

The Allaire State Park is located near the town of Farmingdale in Monmouth County, New Jersey. It is a part of the New Jersey Coastal Heritage Trail Route. It is operated and maintained by the New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry.

The park has a tourist railroad, the Pine Creek Railroad. Picnic facilities are available within the area of the park. The park covers a total area of 3,199 acres of land.

Monmouth Beach :

The Monmouth Beach is a borough in Monmouth County. It is a small beach located on the New Jersey shore. It has an area of one square mile, with the ocean to the east and the Shrewsbury River to the northwest. The Shrewsbury River offers sailing, kayaking, and fishing while the beach offers fishing as well as surfing.

Afro-American Historical and Cultural Society Museum

The Afro-American Historical and Cultural Society Museum is located on the upper floor of the Miller Branch of the Jersey City, New Jersey. It is a non-profit organization. The museum has special exhibits and a permanent collection of material culture of New Jersey’s African Americans. The collection in the state includes books, newspapers, and photographs regarding African American history and the history of slave trade in the state. It started as a grass-roots committee in the 1970s and was formed by Captain Thomas Taylor, Theodore Brunson, Mrs Nora Fant, and Mrs Virginia Dunnaway.

Fort Monmouth

Fort Monmouth is located in the Monmouth County. It was an installation of the Department of the Army in Monmouth. The post is spread across an area of 1,126 acres of land. It was home to several units of the U.S. Army Material Command and offices of the Army Acquisition Executive. Until the September 11 attacks, the place was open to public.
