Ikast Map

Ikast is a familiar city area in Denmark. The people of Ikast are entitled to get all the facilities that a modern city area in a developed country like Denmark can offer.
Ikast has a strong municipality system that again is reformed from time to time for giving a better facility to the people of Ikast.

Very recently Ikast municipality has merged with the municipality of another city area for a better administration. But previously Ikast had a municipality situated at Rinkobing that comes under the peninsula of Jutland in the Western part of Denmark. As a result of the recent municipality many reforms have taken place in Denmark in the running year. Ikast municipality has now merged with the Brande municipality. Previously Ikast town had a locality of 294.3 square kilometers but now after merging with Brande it has a greater area of about 800 square kilometers. The Ikast town had Carsten Kissmeyer as its former mayor.

Ikast has now been in the center of familiarity as a result of a huge project. This project binds both Ikast and the familiar neighboring city of Herning. Ikast and Herning will together build an industrial park for the future developments of these two areas and also of the where Ikast belongs. Both the municipality and their respective members of the Chambers of Commerce will be taking part in making this Iksat-Herning Industrial park project a successful one. Ikast is growing out to be one of the very important cities as a result of this.
