The garden served initially as a place to cool down and relax. But later on, the authorities decided that they should now work as an instrument to spread awareness on science. The Argotti Botanical Gardens was, therefore, developed into a botanical garden. Now you find a number of rare plants and herbs there in the Argotti Botanical Gardens. You can see trees and plants like Oak to Oleanders, pot plants to cactus and many other varieties. There is also a horticultural arena where different local and foreign plants and seeds are exhibited. An additional attraction to the Argotti Botanical Gardens is an old summerhouse which was built in 1741. But it is open only during the office hours. The tourists are always thrilled to see such an old summerhouse well preserved in side the garden.
