The flag of Albania is red with a two headed black eagle in the center. The use of the black eagle has a long history in Albania. A Christian Albanian, George Castriota led the Albanian army in their fight against the Turks and he used the same flag and the double headed eagle in his seals also.
The red background stands for hardiness, bravery, strength and valour shown by the Albanians and which they should be willing to show to defend freedom.
