Kuwait Weather

Kuwait Weather is of continental type and primarily dry. However, there are certain areas in Kuwait, which experience moderate humidity through out the year.
Weather in Kuwait has summer months starting from the month of June and stretching till September or October.

The summer months are very hot with frequent dust storms, which are experienced even in the cities. These dust storms are usually seen in the months of June and July and at times last for a few days. The temperatures cross 45° Celsius and often reach 50°Celsius during the dust storms.

The rains occur in the months of December, January and February. The rainy months are often damp and humid. In the months of August and September, the dryness of the Kuwait climate is replaced by humid weather conditions. The humidity in the atmosphere rises to almost 90% and it gradually lessens by the first half of September.

From mid-October, autumn sets in Kuwait and green vegetation blooms in the desert regions of Kuwait. The winter season in Kuwait begins from the month of December and continues till the month of March. Often light showers occur during these winter months.

Cities

Kuwait City, Ahmadi, Jahrah, Farwaniyah, Hawalli, and Mubarak Al Kaber are the important cities in Kuwait. Kuwait City is the capital.

Al Ahmadi

Al Ahmadi forms the south eastern portion of Kuwait. Covering an area of 5,120 sq. km. it has a population of about 394,000.

Hawalli

Hawalli is situated in the eastern part of Kuwait. The geographycal location of the Hawalli Province in Kuwait has added a lot to the beauty of the land.
