Memphis is the largest city of the state of Tennessee. Various founders of different American music genres, including Blues, Gospel, Rock & Roll were based in Memphis. Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, and B.B. King all started their music careers in here in the 1950s. Many other famous musicians also kick-started their music careers here. Nightlife in Memphis

The bars and nightclubs of Memphis have so much action that some people come here to savor the nightlife only. Every venue has live music playing for at least a couple of days a week. Beale Street is the center point of activity and is packed with several clubs that remain open until the wee hours of the morning. The clubs here charge a small admission fee, but on Friday and Saturday nights you can secure an entry to all the night clubs in the street for a $10 wristband. This is not the only area that has a colorful nightlife. The Pinch Historic District in Downtown and the area around Overton Square in Midtown are also worth checking out. Some of the popular nightclubs of Memphis are the North End, Rum Boogie Café, and P&H Café.
