Estádio Nacional de Brasília Mané Garrincha is the newly inaugurated national stadium in Brasilia, one of the stadiums hosting the FIFA World Cup 2014. Some of the essential features of this stadium are environmental friendly construction, lowered pitch for better viewing from every seat, metal stands and roof, and a new façade. The final estimated cost of its building is more than R$ 1 billion. The total capacity of Estádio Nacional de Brasília is 72,888 seats. One of the essential aspects of this stadium is the architecture, which was essentially inspired by the works of Oscar Niemeyer, who was renowned for designing the city of Brasilia.

Brasilia was officiallyfounded on April 21, 1960, as the capital of Brazil. Currently, the estimated population is around 3 million, which makes it the 4th most populous city of the country.
