One of the essential aspects of this stadium is the architecture, which was essentially inspired by the works of Oscar Niemeyer, who was renowned for designing the city of Brasilia.

Interestingly, Brasilia is the only place in the world which was constructed in the twentieth century that has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site.
