Arena da Baixada :

Arena da Baixada stadium, also known as Estádio Joaquim Américo Guimarãe, was officially opened on June 20, 1999. Arena da Baixada underwent a complete redevelopment, as per FIFA guidelines, after it was selected in 2009 as one of the venues for World Cup 2014 matches. Its capacity has been increased from 30,000 to 43,900 seats, after renovation.

Arena da Baixada is considered to be the most advanced stadiums in Brazil as it is equipped with a central surveillance system along with free Wi-Fi system. According to the schedule, four matches will be held during World Cup 2014, organized in Brazil. CYD, Schlaich Bergermann and Partner, etc. are the constructors of Arena da Baixada and the main designer/architect is Carlos Arcos.
