Indonesia entertainment is a wild combination of traditional, local and non-local. The colorful and diverse forms of Indonesia entertainment is an attraction worth enjoying.

The traditional entertainment comes in the form of Wayang (puppet shows), comedians and traditional dances. Local entertainment is made up of general forms of entertainment but the content is local. For example, the music that is available is of Indonesian songwriters and singers. Music also comprises traditional music with an Indonesian touch- kroncong, and dangdut. The musical instruments used by them is regular.

Non-local entertainment includes international music and films. The range of music covers different genres from rock to pop and jazz. Chinese and Indian movies are very popular in Indonesia. 21 Cineplex is one of the most famous theater halls. Imported movies have Bahasa Indonesia subtitles or dubbing.

VCDs and Super VCD formats are popular in Indonesia. DVDs haven't been able to create much of an impression in Indonesia. There is a host of entertainment provisions for kids like TV shows( Pokemon,Digimon etc) books (comics) and play stations.

Along with all these, Chinese Kung Fu or Martial arts make up another interesting form of entertainment. Types of modern entertainment like dance, dramas and other cultural events are held at many places of Indonesia. Tourists should not miss an opportunity to watch fascinating traditional dances and dramas accompanied by gamelan instruments. Hotels, restaurants, bars and nightclubs are the hub of modern entertainment. Indonesia entertainment thus is a delicious mixture of different and colorful ingredients.
