Doha Asian Games 2006

Doha,Qatar hosted the 15th Asian Games officially known as XV Asiad from December 1 to 15th December, 2006. There were total 424 events held in 46 disciplines and in 39 sports. A total of 9520 athletes from 45 member countries participated in this event.

The official mascot for the Doha Asian Games is Orry, It is a Qatari Oryx.

The opening ceremony was held in the Khalifa International Stadium which presented the Arab and Asian Culture.

The slogan for the doha asian-games was "The Games of Your Life"
