In a Republican country like Niger, the Prime Minster effectively holds all responsibilities of the government. Officially, he receives his appointment from the President. In fact, the President selects him from a list of three candidates who emerged victorious in the elections by attaining majority votes.
Together with the President, it is the Prime Minister of Niger who shares, exercises and enjoys the executive powers of the government. In reality, the Prime Minister in Niger acts as a link between the President and the Cabinet.
