Greece Prime Minister is the leader of the Greek cabinet and the head of government of the Hellenic Republic. New Democracy party's charismatic leader Kostas Karamanlis is the current Prime Minister of Greece. The Greek Prime Minister has a tenure of four years according to the constitution of the nation. The office of the Grecian Prime Minister has seen many illustrious personalities gracing the esteemed chair.

The leader of the political party with the absolute majority of the votes in the Parliament is appointed by the President as Prime Minister. In the event of an absolute majority being impossible the leader of the largest party is asked to try to organize a government. Deterring the appearance of splinter parties Greece uses a complex reinforced proportional representation electoral system and even with the leading party falling short of a popular mandate is able to make a parliamentary majority possible.
