Hong Kong means Fragrant Harbor in Chinese and is derived from the once flourishing trade of scented incense and fragrant wood in the area. Hong Kong mainly consists of Hong Kong Island , Lantau Island , Kowloon Peninsula and the New Territories, which are attached to the Mainland and several smaller outlying islands.
