Bondi Icebergs Bistro Menu – Promise of a good meal

1,2,3,4,5 – It was that simple.  The limited special offers probably made me walk in. Unless of course I was already sold on such a picturesque dining option. With options 2,3 and 4 all working out for me, I decided to have my lunch here at Bondi Icebergs Bistro and  that my choice from the menu would be decided over a glass of beer. The excellent setting for looking at the sea, sky and swimming pools and sipping much-needed beer after hours and hours of walking around Bondi beach made me love my life a little more.

Bondi Iceberg is all about location. It is a great setting.

Choosing between the three was tough. After due consideration, I opted for the chicken and mushroom risotto. I am glad I did as it was good and made me feel happy about opting for anything other than fish.

Risotto always comes with a promise of a big meal.

At $23.50, it was priced right for the venue and the menu. What I especially liked about it was its deviation from the Americanized version of risotto. It was not creamy and it was not pat dry and the chicken pieces were fairly big chunks you could bite into. Four flavors were distinct when had alone and were composite when had together with one fork. The shaving of cheese on top also added to the drama of the dish.

I would love to try to make it at home one of these days, I am sure I can get it with the textures and taste I memorized. Once done, I will be back to post the recipe.
