There are two major bus companies in New Zealand, they are: Intercity and Newmans. These buses cover almost all tourist destinations in New Zealand. There are some shuttle companies also, which are smaller and cheaper. The drivers are friendly. The running schedule is less frequent than the larger bus companies.
