Where is Manaus?
Manaus, the capital city of the state of Amazonas in northern Brazil, is situated at the confluence of the Negro and Solimoes rivers. Situated at an elevation of 20 meters above sea level, Manaus is the biggest and also the most populous city of the Amazon rainforest. Careiro, Iranduba, Novo Airao, Rio Preto da Eva, and Presidente Figueiredo are some of the neighboring cities. While the New Town is the largest neighborhood of the city, Adrianopolis is the wealthiest neighborhood.

How to Reach Manaus?
By Air: Eduardo Gomes International Airport is the major international gateway to Manaus. Direct flights to Miami, Panama City, Lisbon, and Brazilian cities operate from this airport.
By Road: There are two major state highways - AM-010 and the AM-070. While the AM-010 connects Manaus with Itacoatiara, the AM-070 connect this Amazonian city with Manacapuru. Buses from Sta-Elena to Manaus cover the distance in 14 hours. .
By Water: Boats connect to Porto Velho almost thrice a week and also to the city of Tabatinga on the Colombian border.
