Huntsville is a city in the US State of Alabama. It is named after John Hunt, the first settler of the land. The city is also known as Alabama’s birthplace, was the first capital of Alabama till it was changed to Cahawba. The capital was further shifted to Montgomery and made the permanent capital. In 1960, the Marshall Space Flight Center and the Space Shuttle Pathfinder were launched in Huntsville. Also, the launch of Redstone Arsenal and the Marshall Space Flight Center earned the city the title ‘The Rocket City’. The city is also the county seat of Madison County.
