The National flag of Burkina Faso comprises with two equal horizontal half of double color scheme . The upper horizontal half of Burkina Flag is tinged with red while the underside half is colored with green. One yellow star with five tips is depicted in the central part of the National flag of Burkina. The Burkina Faso flag represent the pan-African ensign which echoes a remarkable deviation from Burkina's colonial history in addition to several earlier African settlements. The red also stands for the revolution; whereas the green correspond to the country's profusion of natural resources. Lastly, the prominent yellow star symbolizes the guiding illumination of the revolt.
