Kuwait TV

Kuwait TV is an important wing of the media and entertainment network in the Middle East and is under the direct management of the Ministry of Information.
There are four national Kuwaiti television channels that broadcast news and various forms of entertainment and educational programs in Arabic language. Kuwait TV also telecast certain programs in English to meet the needs of non-Arabic speaking population. Founded in 1957, the Kuwait TV has gone through many stages of metamorphosis to become the efficient media that it is today.

National Television Channels of Kuwait

KTV1: A variety of programs such as movies, music programs, children's program and documentaries all in Arabic language. This channel is available everywhere in Kuwait and neighboring countries round the clock daily.

KTV2: This channel serves the purpose of reaching out to English speaking people for both entertainment and information. It broadcasts family programs.

KTV3: Broadcasting in Arabic, this is the national sports channel that covers all major types of national and neighboring sports events.

KTV4: Broadcasting is done both in English as well as in Arabic language. The sole purpose is entertainment and is available even at night.

The names given below are not exclusively news channels in Kuwait but provide news primarily over television along with other forms of entertainment:

Cities

Kuwait City, Ahmadi, Jahrah, Farwaniyah, Hawalli, and Mubarak Al Kaber are the important cities in Kuwait. Kuwait City is the capital.

Al Ahmadi

Al Ahmadi forms the south eastern portion of Kuwait. Covering an area of 5,120 sq. km. it has a population of about 394,000.

Hawalli

Hawalli is situated in the eastern part of Kuwait. The geographycal location of the Hawalli Province in Kuwait has added a lot to the beauty of the land.
