Best time to visit Italy is from April to June and late September to October. August should be avoided because of the sultry weather and the summer break.

Make sure you carry your visas and all the necessary documents required for the journey. People of Austria, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, Portugal, France, and Spain need a valid passport for six months. Travelers have the permission of staying for three months in Italy. If you are already in a neighboring country, such as France or Austria, you may want to drive to Italy.
