Three horizontal stripes of equal size comprise the National flag of Bolivia with the proportion of 2:3. The top band of color is red, the middle one is yellow and the bottom band of color is green. The Bolivia flag was acquired on 31st October, in the year of 1851. Prior to the Independence in Bolivia in the year of 1825, a number of flag diversities were found there. This is said that the connotation or meaning of the color schemes of this Bolivian flag is come from the “earlier flags” of Colombia. The color of Red in this flag suggests the valor and bravery of Bolivian soldiers, the green stands for fecundity of the terrain and the color of yellow symbolizes Bolivia's mineral resources
