Czech Transport

The Czech Transport network is very dense and well developed. The various means of transportation in Czech Republic are railway, road, waterways and airways. The density of the railway network of the Czech Republic is 120 kilometers of rail for every 1,000 square kilometers of land. Apart from trains, the other means of transport in the Czech Republic are trams, boats, personal automobiles, aeroplanes, buses and bicycles.

The road transport is one of the most preferred and most utilized means of transportation in the country.
The public transport system in the major cities of Czech Republic are flourishing at a very fast rate. Air transport is the easiest and the quickest means of transport within the country and from several international airports. The country has more than 60 public airports connecting various destinations.

Water is another means of transport in the country ideal for transporting bulky or heavy stock freight. The big rivers like Labe, Vltava and Berounka flow through the Czech Republic thus serving as one of the best means for the transportation of heavy things.
