It is adorned with 2 horizontal red stripes of the same width, separated by a white stripe. In the top left corner there is blue square bearing the golden Georgia coat of arms. This seal on the Georgia State Flag has 3 pillars that support an arch. They stand for the 3 wings of the government, which are the executive, legislative and judiciary. There is also a man brandishing a sword, who is said to guard the Constitution that teaches the principle of justice, wisdom and moderation. On top of the emblem are the words, "In God We Trust." Surrounding the emblem are 13 white stars that suggest that Georgia was one of the first colonies of the US.
