Florida Topographic Map highlights the physiography of the state. Primarily a plateau region, the state of Florida has the highest elevation point in the 345 ft Britton Hill which is located in the panhandle. Among the 30, 000 natural lakes of the state, Lake Okeechobee is the largest one which covers 700 sq miles and is in the south-central part of Florida. Having an average flow of 823 cu ft per second, the Silver Springs is the largest inland spring of the state which lies in the north-central portion of the state. The topographic traits of Florida include a number of islands too. The three km wide and 47 km long Key Largo island is the largest one out of the 4500 islands of Florida state.
