Founded in the year 1541 by Spaniard Pedro de Valdivia, Santiago, the Capital of Chile, is one of the most beautiful cities in the country. It also serves as the center of Chilean Government. Chile Capital is located on the banks of Mapocho River. Santiago is the fifth largest city in South America and is the country's cultural hub.

Chile Capital showcases beautiful Spanish colonial architecture, which includes the former Governor's Palace presently housing a museum. The famous cathedrals and churches of Santiago are also worth mentioning.

Santiago represents the urban growth with its cosmopolitan culture and lavish shopping malls. Apart from these attractions the soothing climate of Santiago also makes traveling really easy and comfortable. During summers the maximum temperature remains between 28°C to 32°C. During winters the temperature remains around 14°C to 18°C.

The hotels of Santiago offer comfortable accommodation to the travelers. The exquisite handicrafts are really in demand. Thus Chile Capital has a lot to offer to the travelers as far as traveling and shopping are concerned.
