The capital of Anzoategui is Barcelona. The state of Anzoategui is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Venezuela because of its pleasant climate. Anzoategui generally enjoys a dry climate with moderate rainfall. As it borders with the Caribbean sea in the north, therefore it has a maritime influence. The latitudinal and longitudinal extent of the state is 10.12 and – 64.68 respectively. Anzoategui is inhabited by 1,222,000 nationals. States Sucre and Monagas lie in the east and to the west lie the state of Guarico and Miranda. Anzoategui borders with Bolivar in the south while the Caribbean sea lies in the north.

Savannah and thorny bushes are the main vegetation of the Anzoategui. Alcaravan, Guanaguanares and the Chiguires are some of the notable wildlife species found in Anzoategui. The Venezuela states are distinct from one another in terms of economy, attractions and natural beauty. The economy of Anzoategui comprise both agricultural and industrial products. Ocumo, sweet potato, cotton, maize, peanut and yucca are some of the agricultural products of this Venezuela state. Anzoategui is termed as the second hub of petroleum and natural gas resources, in the country, after the state of Zulia. The state has some of the most significant petrochemical industries. Besides it is also the main fishing hub of Venezuela.
