Yunnan is a province of the People’s Republic of China which is located in the southwestern corner of the country of China. Yunnan province of the People’s Republic of China covers an area of 394,000 square km. The weather of Yunnan province in China has varied climate, adopting temperate, tropical and rigid zones in one province.

Kunming is the capital city of Yunnan province in China. Kunming is situated on the top of a plateau in Yunnan Province. Kunming in Yunnan province enjoys a confined location with mountains surrounding the city on three sides, and Lake Dian to the south. The weather of Kunming, in Yunnan province is marked by a pleasant spring weather which endures year round, although the abrupt change is also notable, when the spring weather turns into winter weather caused by rain. For its year-round moderate weather, Kunming is also known as the “Spring City.” Here you can always enjoy the spring season and flowers. Kunming in Yunnan features some of the best weather in China with a constantly pleasant climate. This place is also famous for its freshest and cleanest air from among any of major city in the country. Relatively longer hours of sunshine, high temperature and much rain fall are centralized during the months of May, June, July, August, September and October. During this time period the temperatures rise up to 28 degree centigrade. This time, strong breezes blow and bring rains with them.

Dali is another city in Yunnan province in the People’s Republic of China. The weather of Dali in Yunnan is to some extent similar to that of Kunming. The antique city of Lijiang in Yunnan is located on a plateau at a height of 2,600m. Lijiang has a rather cold weather most of the year. All over year the temperature of this place rises not more than 18 degree centigrade. In the months of June, July and August a considerable amount of rainfall can be found here.
