Located in the Western Africa, Cameroon covers an area of 475,442 sq km, out of which 469,440 sq km are land and 6,000 sq km are water. The coastline of this country is 402 km. It is
situated between Guinea and Nigeria. Cameroon - The Land and People are so diverse that anybody can become interested in this country.

Cameroon is bordered by Gabon, Chad, Congo and Central African Republic. It enjoys a tropical climate along the coast, but it is a bit hot in the north of this country. The land of Cameroon is consisted of coastal plains, mountains, plateaus and plains. 12.54% of the land are arable. The irrigated land is consisted of 260 sq km.

The people of Cameroon belong to various ethnic groups like Cameroon Highlanders 31%, Eastern Nigritic 7%, Fulani 10%, Equatorial Bantu 19%, Kirdi 11%, Northwestern Bantu 8%, other African 13% and non-African less than 1%. Though English and French are the official languages people usually speak in 24 African languages. 40% of the population are Christian and 20% of the population are Muslim, the rest follow indigenous belief.



Cameroon has become a land rich culture because of the colorful people of this country.
