  • Hiking: The Appalachian National Scenic Trail offers the tourist a unique scope to enjoy the natural splendor and the adventurous sport of hiking of the place. There are endless hiking opportunities from Maine to Georgia.

Best Time to Visit National Parks in Maine

The best time to visit Acadia National Park in terms of pleasant weather is between late spring and fall. However, it is often crowded. A less busy time with the great weather in mid-September.

As for the Appalachian Trail, it is open year-round, and each season has something special to offer. But the prime hiking time is Late spring and early fall.
